A name, place, or other term entered in a search widget passes to the third-party provider that operates that widget. This site does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy policy and terms apply to its collection and results.
If you send an email or contact message, we keep the information needed to read and answer it. Messages are not shared outside the organization except when a legal duty requires disclosure or a service provider must process them for delivery and security.

Advertising partners may use their own identifiers to measure ads or select ads across sites. That activity occurs under their systems and policies, not as an official records function of this site.

Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the limits of what is held, a visitor may ask to see personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, or object to certain processing. Browser settings can also limit cookies. A request must include enough detail to locate the relevant message or record without adding unnecessary personal information.
These choices concern data held by this site. Requests about a Sheriff, court, MDOC, VINELink, or partner record must go to that record owner under its own policy and Michigan law, including Michigan FOIA where applicable.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised as site functions, providers, or legal duties change. A new version takes effect when posted here with its updated effective date.
